Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm Wedding

In the beginning

Alexis and Kenneth’s Hunter Valley Farm wedding was as perfect as a wedding can get. We love the Pavilion at Hunter Valley farm because there are so many great locations for photography. It was a beautiful spring day in Knoxville, Tennessee and the bride and groom’s guests had an amazing time at Hunter Valley Farm. Many guests were from out of state, so they had a great introduction to Tennessee. Kenneth and Alexis met in 2016 while taking a wildlife class at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. They enjoy the outdoors and wanted to give their guests a sense of that at their wedding.

Alexis and Kenneth’s tablescapes were thoughtfully done with natural elements like bark and wood, along with handmade soaps and candles. The burgundy, blush, and gold colors they chose were the perfect accents to Alexis and Kenneth’s wedding. Guests had a great time eating wonderful food provided by Bradford Catering and dancing to music courtesy of the DJs from Special Notes Entertainment. It always great when working with talented vendor like these.

Family and Friends

This was such a fun wedding to be a part of. There were a number of sweet and sentimental aspects of this wedding. Personally, I’ve been friends with Alexis’ family for years and I was honored that they asked me to photograph their wedding. Alexis’ grandfather is a deacon in the Catholic Church and spoke at the wedding, which was a wonderful and heartfelt moment to witness. These are the type of weddings we love and why we became wedding photographers. Thank you, Alexis and Kenneth for allowing us to be a part of your day

Dara’s Garden Wedding and Gettysvue Country Club Reception

We’re back from our winter slum with a beautiful Dara’s Garden wedding. When the weather starts getting warmer and the flowers begin to bloom, you know it’s wedding season in Tennessee. What better way to kick off the spring wedding season than with a garden wedding in East Tennessee. This Knoxville wedding features a ceremony at Dara’s Garden and a reception at Gettysvue Country Club. It also features a couple that I can’t say enough positive things about. Brandon and Sarah met and live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They decided to have their wedding in Knoxville because Brandon grew up there and most of his family still lives in the area. Brandon and Sarah wanted a small wedding. Well, actually they were so anxious to get married they said they wanted to “run to the courthouse!”

However, to keep everyone happy (and to throw themselves a party) they decided on a beautiful ceremony at Dara’s Garden and a reception at Gettysvue Country Club. In addition to these two fantastic knoxville wedding venues, a number of other great vendors helped make this event possible. This intimate Dara’s Garden wedding was officiated by Celebrations by CelesteArt of Cakes provided the beautiful wedding cake, Lisa Foster Floral Designs created the stunning florals, and Southern Belle Beauty provided the perfect makeup and hair. Sarah purchased her Theia wedding dress from Ladies of Lineage in Charlotte, and the bridesmaids dress is from Poffie Girls. Brandon’s suit was from TheBlackTux.com.

It was such a pleasure being a part of this wedding. Sarah, Brandon and their families made me feel so welcome, which always makes this amazing job I have that much better. I can’t thank them enough giving me the opportunity to photograph this momentous day for them. Thanks for checking out the blog! We’ll have more wedding photography to share this year from Nashville, Knoxville, Florida and beyond. So, please stay tuned!
