Sherry and Richard had the most beautiful winter wedding at the Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Early on in the planning process, Sherry decided that the theme would be “Glamorous, with a touch of Christmas Magic.” It was important to them that their family & friends remember their wedding day, and what better way to make it memorable than add some Christmas magic?
Sherry and Richard met while attending grad school at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. They now live in Dallas but decided to get married here in Nashville. Their wedding took place on the 1st of December, which was actually the anniversary of their first date The Hermitage Hotel was completely decked out for Christmas. Their wedding colors were Blush, Dusty Rose, Gold, and Navy Blue which blended seamlessly with the decor of the hotel.
The couples’ dogs, Baylor and Watson acted as Ring Bearer and Flower Girl and they were almost show stoppers. That is until the guests saw the absolutely stunning bride. Sherry’s entire look was flawless, from her hair to her shoes. She found her gorgeous gown by Essense of Australia at Circle Park Bridal Boutique, in Addison, Texas. Natalie Pena, of Nashville, did Sherry’s hair and makeup. Creations by Debbie was responsible for all of the beautiful florals.
The reception also took place at the Hermitage Hotel, immediately following the ceremony. Top Tier Events flawlessly coordinated the entire event and provided the entertainment which kept guests dancing all night. Dulce Desserts created the incredible and delicious wedding cake. All of these vendors, along with Sherry and Richard, put together an amazing event. We hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed capturing this amazing winter wedding at the Hermitage Hotel!
We recently photographed the very first Nashville Public Library wedding, and we are so excited to share the images! The ceremony took place at West End United Methodist Church, followed by a beautiful reception at the Nashville Public Library’s Main Library, located in downtown Nashville on Church Street. West End United Methodist’s beautiful courtyard and stunning sanctuary provided the perfect backdrop for photography. The church only allows photographs to be taken from the balcony during the ceremony, which creates a challenge for photographers. Having photographed many weddings with the same policy, we were prepared with our tripod and long zoom lens and were able to capture the ceremony perfectly.
The reception took place in the courtyard of the Nashville Public Library, where guest were free to wander around and explore the lovely sculptures and landscape. There was a beautiful fountain in the middle which created a lovely ambiance and looked great in the photos! We were so honored to be the first to photograph a wedding at the Nashville Public Library!
Jen and Jonathan were the sweetest couple and it was a pleasure to work with them throughout the wedding planning process. They met and became friends in 2005 while attending the University of Tennessee. After graduation they went their separate ways but stayed in touch and hung out whenever they found themselves in the same town. Finally, in 2013, Jonathan expressed his feelings for Jen and they began dating long distance – eventually winding up together in Memphis. The rest, as they say, is history!
