Meet Ashley & Andy. I first started talking to Ashley this spring because she was getting ready to graduate from UT and thought it might be fun to put a picture in her announcement/ invitation. But, the shoot got rained out and we were on a tight deadline with the invitation so it didn't happen. I was THRILLED though when Ashley called back a month or so later and said told us that she just got ENGAGED!!! Best of all, to her high school sweetheart, Andy, who she's been dating for almost 100 years. Ashley and Andy were so cute together and it really showed because it was literally like 100 degrees and 200% humidity when we did these pictures. I think you have to be REALLY in love to touch and kiss when it's that hot!! Not that you could tell with Ashley and Andy, though...they looked great the whole time, as you'll see. Dan and I - well, that's a different story. Ashley and Andy probably thought we were totally disgusting because we were sweating so much... I think at one point Dan went inside and got a roll of paper towels so we could wipe the sweat off our faces! - LOL. BUT, the light was amazing partly because it had just rained ---- it was probably some of the best light we've shot in all year! I hardly had to do anything to most of these pictures because they were great just how they were, because of the light and the subjects :) Enjoy!
Heidi and Mike, yall are next!!
I'm not going in order with these pics.... we started on the river downtown and then went back to our farm. It'll be easy to tell what's what.
I love this one

We have two favorites, this is one.

Early this spring I planted 100 or more boxes of wildflower seeds along our really long driveway. Nothing came up (or so I thought) until we were walking down the driveway and I noticed something colorful behind the tall weeds! Here is the pretty little spot -- I know, I'm like a proud momma. Sadly, that's about it for the wildflowers, it's mostly weeds :(

I think Ashley looks a bit like Reese Witherspoon - so jealous!

We love these next three

This is our other favorite

Just a good, straight-up portrait

The End!

Meet Heather and Dustin! They are getting married next October at The Inn at Serenbe in Palmetto, Georgia, which looks FABULOUS by the looks of their website! We had so much fun with them during their shoot. They were so happy-go-lucky and giggling the whole time. I really love engagement shoots and Heather is soooo cute!!.... I just want to bite her! And, best of all, when she first called me she was like, "I feel like I should preface this by saying that I too am a huge fan of Twilight." (She read it on this blog) -- ah, it's the little things that make me happy! And Dustin, he's a keeper! Dustin did a fantastic job just being a gentleman and basically going along with everything we asked during our shoot. Ohhh, I'm just remembering ---- Dustin is SUCH a gentleman, opened every car door for Heather when we were riding around in and out of the car. Sooo sweet!
Enjoy!!

Might be my fav ;)

Heather has to do this when she kisses Dustin :)

Also might be my fav!

No, this one!

Dustin is handsome!

Never mind, this is my favorite --- Dan too.

The End!!! Happy Fourth!! Tyler & Slate are next!

Kit and Bobby are both from Knoxville and live in NYC. They have been together for 9 years and are tying the knot this fall in Knoxville at Penrose Farm!! If you frequently visit our blog, you might remember Kit and Bobby from 3 posts back --- you know, where the horse at Penrose tried to munch on Bobby's hair! Hilarious right? Well, we're on to the rest of the pictures from their session, and I think I need to preface the pictures by describing Kit & Bobby's personalities or what we know of them so far :).
Kit and Bobby were pretty much cracking us up the entire shoot... Kit is a self-described girly, city-girl who doesn't really care for the outdoors or bugs (we were outdoors and there were bugs) and Bobby will pretty much do anything to get a rise out of Kit. This whole shoot was like something totally out of the norm for Kit...on a farm, IN RED (she describes her wardrobe as "a sea of black"), and then there is Bobby who was trying to get Kit to do things the entire time... like ride on the handle bars of this bike with no pedals and jump up in the air... but we'll get to those in a minute. For now, some pretty pics....
Ummm, totally gorgeous! I can't even imagine how pretty she will be on her wedding day!

I really love this one for some reason.

This was a pretty short shoot for us, we normally take forever but we were on a schedule because they were only in town for a short time and had to get to an engagement party by 7! Just it was getting to be near 7 o'clock we got 'the good light'.
He's always trying to make her laugh :)

No kissing pics were allowed but I'm sneaking this one in here ;)

Here are a few out takes from their session... Kit was definitely peer-pressured into doing this! Bobby was like, "if we were on a set you would already be fired!" - LOL

Total, total peer-pressure!

And then Bobby was trying to get Kit do some jumping pictures and she was just laughing at him.

And I really like this one!

And finally, the highlight of my day, something I always wanted to try -- Kit took this for me:) The end! Boy, that was long! We can't wait til September 19! Yaaaay!
