If you’ve been following us for a while there’s no doubt you already know that the High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, NC is one of our favorite places to be. Not a clue what I’m talking about? Please allow me to elaborate!

Just imagine the setting of Dirty Dancing… with a rustic, mountain twist! :)  And it’s really just.that.charming. There is ‘the view’, which is like you’re up on a hill overlooking a gorgeous small lake prefect for canoeing, swimming, and sailing with a breathtaking rock face mountain behind it. There is a main inn and probably 30-ish cabins surrounding it, all in walking distance. There are rocking chairs and little fire pits everywhere. There’s a bar, pavilion for wedding receptions, spa, golf course, yummy breakfast buffet and of course the cute town of Cashiers. On the wedding side of things I feel like every wedding we shoot there is completely different from the last and there are so many ‘spots’ we haven’t even been yet. It’s so gorgeous -every way you turn the possibilities are just endless. We never shoot a wedding the same way twice there… and for a photographer that is so exciting. The scenery is just drop-dead fabulous and for anyone who’s ever spent a weekend there, y’all know there’s something magical about the place.

Here is a fun little slideshow of weddings we have done at High Hampton… I’m getting ready to add images from the last two weddings but you’ll see what I mean, it’s just a really fun place to bring family and friends together for a wedding or any other type of gathering.

So when Perrin and Jim called us from their home in San Francisco we crossed our fingers and said yes, please!  The first time we met Perrin and Jim was on their wedding day and we were just overjoyed to be there with them. It was about 65 degrees on their day in June (!!) and perfect in every way. I loved the peach dresses and the cotton boutonnières & bow ties. I had such a great time shooting and editing this wedding because Perrin & Jim were just beaming all day and as I look at these photos and the expressions on Perrin’s face…. ah, it’s just truly the reason why I love my job. It was our pleasure.

Thank you Perrin and Jim. Thank you for the experience of your wedding, for having us and for being so wonderful!

Happy Friday y’all!!

Yes, that’s cotton! On the bow tie and in the boutonnière! I know all the southern brides and grooms are going to eat this up!
