We have two big announcements today, definitely the most exciting Watson Studios news to date!
First and foremost we are so humbled and honored to announce that two of the best photographers in Knoxville have joined Watson Studios! Ashley Hoskins of Ashley Hoskins Photography and Lori Hensley of Lori Hensley Photography are joining together as a photography team under our brand. We are beyond excited to have Ashley and Lori on board with us. They are both very talented artists and absolutely as sweet as they can be! Ashley and Lori will be photographing weddings together, as a team, like Dan and I. Clients can expect artful, timeless, classic, wedding day imagery created with the same high quality ‘Watson Studios’ finishing and artisan albums our clients have treasured for years. It is such an honor to have them on board with us and to be able to offer brides and grooms a wider range of services through price and availability. We have select dates available this Fall and have already begun booking them for 2014!

And for our second announcement!! The Photo Blaster
Over the past few years we have noticed a growing trend at parties and receptions – the photo booth! We love the idea but always thought the traditional photo booth needed an update and we believe we have found the perfect solution! We’ve built something we’re calling The Photo Blaster — it is a free standing camera/touchscreen/studiolight/printer — it’s very sleek! The Photo Blaster is the perfect photo booth solution for any event – wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, engagement party, couple’s shower or any fun company, holiday, campus, franternity/sorority, youth prom or party.
What makes our photo booth so awesome is that it is a touchscreen photo booth with a high quality digital SLR camera, studio lighting and a sleek design can match the style and look of any event. Even better is that our portable, open-air design allows for larger groups of people than the traditional photo booth booth, along with endless location options and backdrop possibilities. We have a collection of fun backdrops for you to choose from or we can create a custom backdrop just for your photo booth! A booth attendant and unlimited prints are included with every photo booth rental. Guests love being able to take home photo booth style strips of photos. Also included are the high res digital files of all of your photo booth images and they can be used for prints, in your wedding album, online, etc. The images from The Photo Blaster make some really fun spreads in your wedding album. Plus, we are happy for you to share all the images you’d like online and through social media. You can use the silly props we provide or not, either way it’s a win-win for you and your party. We are so excited to have a way to document ‘the guests’ and their personalities more at each event. You wouldn’t believe how much fun people have with it at our events, from young to old, people have a blast! We have a website and made a little video if you’d like to see more!
The Photo Blaster will be a separate business from Watson-Studios and Watson-Studios does not have to be providing any photography services for The Photo Blaster to be rented at a wedding or event. Watson-Studios wedding clients can receive special pricing for The Photo Blaster. With all these new developments, we have hired a wonderful office manager, Whitney. She is taking over a number of things for us in our studio and will also be an integral part of The Photo Blaster.
