This Jackson Station wedding in Knoxville, Tennessee was one of the most elegant affairs and biggest parties I’ve ever photographed! Jackson Station is a new wedding venue in the heart of Knoxville’s revitalized downtown. Knoxville has had a great downtown for years, but has been growing leaps and bounds lately. Old industrial buildings have been turned in shops and restaurants. Jackson Station itself used to be the old freight station. It’s a large and beautiful building that is perfect for weddings and events.
Jackson Terminal was the perfect place for Caroline and Luke’s downtown Knoxville wedding reception. Caroline’s friend, Paige, coordinated this gorgeous wedding and Whimsical Gatherings knocked it out out of the park with their unique floral arrangements, which included some of most beautiful colors and textures, making them so much fun to photograph. Honey Bee Events coordinated a reception that was the perfect combination of elegance and excitement, which included the Atlanta Grove Band. If you’re looking for a fun wedding band, these guys were amazing and had everyone dancing the entire night! All Occasions Catering and Magpies Bakery topped off the night with their amazing food and beautiful cakes, which were enjoyed by all.
In lieu of party favors, Caroline and Luke opted to let their guests chose from three different charities and made donations in their honor. I was touched by the generosity and thoughtfulness of their wedding favor, which raised awareness for causes that were important to them. I love to see a gesture like that because it speaks to what great people Caroline and Luke are. They were wonderful to work with and I am so honored I got to be a part of their wedding.
I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph this beautiful Marco Beach Ocean Resort wedding. Southwest Florida and the beaches surrounding Naples and Marco Island one of my favorite destination wedding locations. The white sand beaches act as the perfect reflector for wedding photography lighting, and Marco Beach Ocean resort is an incredible backdrop for photos. I was thrilled when Elisa and Blake asked me to photograph their wedding.
Elisa and Blake are from Texas, but wanted to have their destination wedding on Marco Island. They chose an amazing venue with some of the best beaches in the country. Elisa and Blake were wonderful to work with from start to finish and I had a great time getting to know their families. I always love meeting the families of the clients and am honored to be there to capture moments with them.
I don’t always post a lot of guest photos to the blog, but wanted to share a few of Elisa’s 92 year old grandmother, because she was so fun and so important to the family. My own grandmother is 93 and I am definitely guilty of having a soft spot for grandmothers. That’s because I love my grandmother and am grateful to have her in my life to this day. I always enjoy meeting everyone’s extended families and the important people in their lives.
The staff and all of the wedding vendors at Marco Beach Ocean Resort do an amazing job putting together these beach weddings. Galina, the wedding coordinator at Marco Beach Ocean Resort, is always wonderful to work with. The flowers by Botanicals on the Gulf were stunning. Elisa’s hair and makeup was done beautifully by Duality Artistry. Elisa purchased her wToo from The Blushing Bride Boutique. Their beautiful cake was done by Cakes by Karen. All of the vendors for this Marco Island wedding did an amazing job and I look forward to working with them again. Thank you Elisa and Blake for letting me be a part of your wedding day! Enjoy the photos!
