We had the privilege of shooting so many wonderful weddings in 2013, but I really can’t say enough about this one in particular. Blake and Brad’s wedding took place at Blake’s childhood church, Fountain City First Baptist. We took all of the photos before the ceremony at RT Lodge, which was also the location for the reception. It was an amazing day and we hope you enjoy this glimpse of their beautiful wedding!
Venue and Catering: RT Lodge / Ceremony: Fountain City Baptist Church / Flowers: Lisa Foster, Jennifer Capps and Kim Scarbrough / Cake: Sweet Beginnings by Elaine / Invitations: Weddings, etc. / Band: Soul Connection / Videographer: Silverleaf Cinemas / Hair: Vibe Salon, Emily Quinton / Makeup: Lynn Bibee / Dress Designer: Martina Liana / Dress Store: Ivory and White
The following sequence of photos is so special, and truly captivated my heart. Between Blake and her Mom, Aunt, Dad, and best friends there was a roller coaster of every emotion. They laughed, they cried, and they were nervous. It was a beautiful mess! We absolutely love these types of moments- especially when we get the opportunity to capture them on camera.
We’re excited to get this wedding out there in the new year because Rachel and Marc’s wedding at Holy Ghost and Cherokee Country Club incorporates some of Knoxville’s best wedding vendors and a classic style I think we’ll be seeing a lot of in upcoming year.
Design, Planning and Styling: Jennifer Laraia Designs / Florist: Whimsical Gatherings / Venue: Cherokee Country Club / Cakes: Magpies / Lighting: Special Notes (Jim Ogle) / Videographer: Milestone / Band: A Town A List / Hair and Makeup: Bangs and Blush / Fabric Draping: Campbells Party Rentals / Invitations, Table Numbers, Menus, Programs, Custom Map Illustration: The Happy Envelope / Ballroom Trees: Saplings / Truffle Favors: French Broad Chocolate Lounge / Escort and Place Cards: Kalligraphia / Hand Lettered Signage: Paperfinger / Photobooth: The Photo Blaster / Photography: Watson-Studios
And every epic wedding just has to have The Photo Blaster ;)
and a firetruck ending!
I love this wedding. It took place in June at a private residense on top of a mountain in Gatlinburg. Dan and I have had the opportunity to shoot at this location before but what I love most about these pictures is that they were done by our wonderful associates Lori & Ashley. They are a fantastic team and there is no one I would trust more to represent Watson Studios than these two. I hope you enjoy the beautiful bride and groom – Kristy + Tyler, scenery, gorgeous florals by Pat Felts and photos from their perfect day.

We’ve had a wonderful season shooting tons and tons of gorgeous weddings! It’s been such a diverse group and we’ve loved the ever changing scenery. We adore shooting weddings like this next one. Bethany + Billy’s backyard wedding in Wears Valley, Tennessee was perfect and endearingly sweet in every way. We always notice and love the community effort it takes to pull off a wedding like this and in the end, it is a beautiful, intimate and personal event — just as it should be!
I wish we could post every single image from Bethany and Billy’s wedding but here is a fun mix of real moments and gorgeous details.
Have a fantastic week!

Congratulatoins to our lovely couples Caroline + Peach and Katarina + Justin whose summer 2012 weddings were featured in WEDDING Flowers & Accessories and in The Knot for Northern California this summer! All of their wonderful vendors are listed in the links below!

We were so happy to be a part of Claire and Michael’s gorgeous Knoxville wedding, styled so beautifully by our wonderful friend and past bride Jenn Laraia! This post is super heavy on the details because we want to show off what happens when talented local vendors come together – essentially transforming the very cool parking lot of Southern Railway Depot into a magical space for a party! From the invitations (Fourth Year Studio) to linens (Table Five) to florals (Whimsical Gatherings) to cakes (Sugar Buzz) to hair & makeup (Bangs & Blush) everything looked truly amazing!
