This next couple is SO cute that I just had to seriously restrain myself from putting up a zillion pics from their engagement session! When Lauren contacted us about her shoot and said that she and her fiancee Jeff, a UT football alum, wanted to do part of their engagement session at Neyland Stadium, we knew we were in for a real treat!

And y'all, seriously, this couple could not be any cuter or any sweeter. Jeff is waaaay over a foot taller than Lauren! He can pick her up and twirl her around like nothing! (And really it is nothing because Lauren is teenie tiny!). Jeff was joking around with her the whole time and it was easy to see how much fun they have together. Here is just a small sample from their shoot, it was so tough picking just a few!!

Enjoy!!

I think this one is really cute and it just might be my favorite!

Hmmm, I'm loving this one too :)

Then we headed out to our farm for a few just before sunset!

It was almost 100 degrees while we were doing this but I can't tell at all!! I'm really not even exaggerating!

Ta da! The end!! Thanks for being so great Lauren & Jeff!! xx

The wait for a new wedding post is finally over and I hope you will agree that it was totally worth it.  Nate & Ashley's wedding seriously might have been one of the most exciting weddings we've ever been to! We loved being there every moment of the day. It seemed like every time we looked around the corner we were seeing something new & exciting and full of sweetness & life! When it comes to weddings there is nothing we love more than working with an AMAZING couple (Definition at a wedding: A couple that is totally in love, totally enjoying every second of their wedding day and taking nothing for granted). Add in adorable details, a rockin' color scheme and a really fun style (Nate & Ashley's wedding: check, check, check, check, check, check!!) and what you get is an absolutely incredible opportunity for capturing some gorgeous moments with a camera.

This is one of the weddings I'm still telling my friends about weeks after the event and here are just a few reasons this wedding was so great:

1). First, this is the first (of I hope many) Apostolic weddings we have shot. That in itself was a new experience for us and I couldn't have had a better client to start with. Ashley was just a complete doll! Ashley's grandfather started the church where her father is now the pastor, First Apostolic Church of Knoxville. All of her and Nate's family members (plus every guest, bridesmaid, & groomsmen) were just so, so, so wonderful and friendly to us!

2). I LOVED the hair at this wedding! I have never, ever seen so many crazy awesome up-dos and these girls do their hair themselves! Look at Ashley's hair on the right! Awesome! But that's not all. Even a lot of the regular guests showed up with great up-dos, they were very contemporary looking and I loved it!

3). Call me a small town girl but this was our first wedding with over 650 guests. That is A LOT of people! Now picture this: 650 guests with a seated, plated, 3 course dinner and here's the kicker - with namecards!! Dan and I even had seats with namecards - so thoughtful!! All of this under a TENT!! Can you imagine how big that tent was!?! Ashley joked and called it her circus tent. It was all just amazing.

So with all of that talking up, I hope the pictures still speak for themselves! Here are some of our favorite shots of the day!! Enjoy!

Literally everything was red, blue or green. Oh this is one really cute part - I don't know if it was planned or what, but so many women guests were wearing green and navy or blue - her colors, like to show their support. I thought that was a nice, sweet touch. OK, I'll try to stop blabbing so much!

This is Ashley who you might also remember them from their fun engagement session. Such a natural beauty!

And here is Nate who looked so cute in his seersucker suit :)

This really might be my favorite picture of the day. Look at this wonderful happy couple and it was probably pushing 98 degrees outside!

We did all of their pictures and the bridesmaids & groomsmen pics at a park across the street from the church. It worked out perfectly.

The guys were funny...

This is Dan's fave.

Even though they saw each other before the ceremony, they were still so excited to see each other as she was walking down the aisle.

There were about 5 or maybe more pastors who 'married' Nate & Ashley. It was really sentimental. Here is her father, grandfather on the left and uncle on the right. Look at that smile on her grandpa :)

ashley_nate_w2935.jpg
Yay, married! Moms, grandmothers and VIPs in the front row.

ashley_nate_w3074.jpg
Look at all of this. I could seriously do a whole post just on details (this is just a small portion)! WOW, it looked great!

Meet two of our very best friends, Michelle & Christopher. Michelle is one of my girls, she's super sweet, totally sassy (see right), and we have a lot in common.  She's pretty much amazing and one of the best kind of friends a girl could ask for. Although Michelle & Christopher live in North Carolina, we spend a lot of time together... on the phone... for sometimes hours... at least 2-3 nights a week while I'm working around the house. She's a great friend, we talk about any and everything, though lately we've been talking a lot about her wedding... which is pretty much going to be a photographer's dream...lucky me! Think Eseeola Lodge, paper cranes hanging from a tree, croquet, vintage glass bottles, bluegrass, guests standing in a circle around Michelle & Christopher while they say thier vows -- I swear I get chills just thinking about it!!

For Michelle & Christopher's wedding I get to be both bridesmaid and photographer, which means that instead of holding a bouquet, I'll be wearing a cute dress AND holding a camera most of the day ;). Then at some point during the reception I'll put down my camera and break it down on the dance floor with my girls while Dan continues to take care of business.

All of the bridesmaids for Michelle & Christopher's wedding are wearing different dresses that we are buying from wherever, all having a shade of purple or lavendar. We're bringing them to the beach this weekend to see how they look together since we all live in different places and I'm totally excited to see how it all turns out. Anyways, back to the main subject of this post - their engagement shoot! No matter how much Michelle & I talked and planned this shoot before it happened, it still felt like a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants engagement session, which always turns out to be the best anyways --- and this is definitely a new favorite. Although it looks like this shoot took place somewhere out West (at least that's what I think), it was our first time to do a shoot in Cades Cove. If you don't know what that is, Cade's Cove is a famous part of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park that tons of people visit and drive through every day.  And, for anyone that's ever been to Cades Cove, you know how crowded the loop can be with all of the Sunday drivers and nature lovers. But, we have now totally figured out how to do an engagement shoot up there without getting stuck. Despite the traffic, it is always absolutely worth the trip.  Every view up there is so gorgeous and along with a couple that is so dear makes this a shoot that I absolutely LOVE!!! Here are just some of our favs, I had such a hard time picking ones to blog!! Their full gallery is really full, so, so many fun pics!! Enjoy!!

Next up will be one of my favorite, FAVORITE weddings ---- Nate & Ashley that's you! Get excited!!! ;)

I think the one in the middle should be Michelle's new facebook profile pic ;)
