As Seen on Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog

Ok y'all, I know it's been 12 days since our last post and I can already guess what you're thinking..."Hurry up and post something, we're getting bored!" Ok, you're right, but I'm pretty sure you will be happy with this little gem of a wedding. It's filled with pretty details, an adorable couple, tons candid moments and little tid-bits of descriptions to go along with it. We've been saving this wedding for a good old rainy day like today (ok, now it's turned to snow), so welcome to the wedding of Molly & Caleb!

Usually the more we know a couple and their wedding, the more we feel tied to it. Molly was one of the last weddings we booked for 2010.  Before we met them, Dan and I were debating if we were going to take anymore weddings for 2010 because we were pretty full and we knew the fall was going to be crazy --- but then we met them and gosh I'm so glad we did! Caleb had already moved to Houston, Texas so we didn't meet him until the day of the wedding but Molly was staying with her parents who live right down the street in our neighborhood. Dan and I shot Molly's bridal session and then she pet sat for us a couple of weekends and just in doing that, we figured out pretty quickly that Molly was one special girl :)

But if we hadn't known Molly at all going into her wedding, I feel sure we would have realized about 10 mins into it how special it was going to be... and probably would have also known that it was going to be one of our favorite weddings of the year.  Besides it being a perfect late October day (remember the colors, and the perfect crisp 65 degree weather) there were so many touches that made this wedding really sweet and really special. Molly was just such a delight and smiling ear to ear all day... and gosh we just love brides who just smile and giggle all day long!

Molly is the youngest of three sisters and a very sentimental person. She decided to have a morning wedding at 11:00 am to follow in the tradition of her parents and grandparents. Also like her parents, grandparents, sister, aunt and cousins, Molly knew she wanted to get married in her home church, Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian. And, the more she thought about it, the more she just loved the idea of an afternoon reception, where everyone could enjoy the fall afternoon and old and young could participate in all of the festivities.

*Love* this pic of Molly and her sisters. Molly's sister Casey was full term at the wedding and now mother to a beautiful baby girl! All of the girls in Mollys family since her great-great-grandmother have worn the broach Molly has on her bracelet at their weddings...just a little side note:)

Molly had the groomsmen wear 'Morning Suits' just as Molly's parents wore in their wedding. She just loved how old-fashioned they looked. Molly said that when she was a little girl she used to love looking at her parent's wedding album and memorized certain pictures that she always associated with weddings. Molly brought her parent's wedding album over to our house and showed it to me before her wedding so that we could copy certain poses in the church to match  --  love that.  In general I love when people let me in on all the details and and backstory, so we know what to look for before we get to a wedding.

Caleb is really into cycling and so they decided to leave the reception on a tandem bicycle -- how cute!?! The bike also served as a fun little prop for pictures and motif that they used on their save the dates and candy bags.

This might be my favorite random picture of the whole wedding. :)

Happy Friday!!

We just wanted to share a few bridal portraits of one of our favorite brides :)... The super sweet, best-smile ever, free spirit, quirky, amazing petsitter, and now a Texan -- Molly.  I'm even more excited to post her wedding, which is coming to this blog soon!! Stay tuned for her fantastic morning wedding and in the meantime we hope everyone has a very happy weekend!

PS -- Check out the bouquet Pat Felts of Clay Pots put together for this bridal session --- so unique! I can't wait to show you what she did for Molly's wedding bouquet, because it is really special!! We've done two weddings with Pat now and her work at both events did not go unnoticed! The other was Katie & Johan's wedding and the bouquet from that event was featured in the Get Married magazine winter edition. Yay Pat!!

First off, y'all are hilarious!! We've had an absolute blast since Christmas meeting with some really fun couples and I swear the engagement stories just keep getting better and better! We've heard everything from guys dropping the rings in the snow to (my favorite) girls finding the ring "by accident while deep cleaning," to the most well thought out plans going totally haywire. Gosh we just love this part of the job: the people, the stories and the excitement of starting something new - something amazing!

Just glance down to our next couple --- Ah, the start of something new, you can just see it on their faces and it almost gives me chill bumps. Oh how we love those sweet little moments like the one below. Meet Paige and John, two amazing people from Chicago we really couldn't be more excited to work with. This spring all of their friends and family will travel to East Tennessee to spend the weekend with Paige and John at the beautiful, amazing Blackberry Farm. We are so excited to document their special event, because it will surely be an incredible time they will never forget.

On our way to Blackberry Farm to do the engagement shoot we literally drove through a hail storm! The whole time we thought we'd have to cancel the shoot due to weather but, since Paige and John were in town from Chicago for such a short amount of time, we kept driving and crossed our fingers for sun. I am learning more and more to never say never because as soon we arrived at Blackberry the clouds parted and we were able to do just what we came for.

Here are a few of our faves! Enjoy!
