Next up is the engagement shoot of one of my favorite wedding vendors! Not only is she an awesome wedding person, she's our dear, dear friend and I'd carry her around in my pocket if I could... Meet Caroline and her fiancee Brad, they both work at High Hampton Inn & Country Club in Cashiers, NC. Caroline is the wedding coordinator and she is just amazing (and hilarious while she's being amazing) in so many ways. For instance, Caroline works literally what seems like 24/7 to make sure the brides and grooms of HHI have the best experience they can possibly have. She's honest, kind, compassionate, and sooooo funny. She's the kind of girl you can't not like - her personality is just infectious. And honestly, we have nothing but great things to say about everyone at HHI. Besides having a picture-perfect backdrop they have the people who make it all come together week after week.
We are so lucky to have Caroline as our friend and we are so, so happy for her and Brad and this special time in their lives! Here are a few of our favorites from their engagement shoot.

If you've been following our blog for a while I'm sure you've heard me mention my girlfriends from college and how close we still are. This fall has been extra special because we've had two weddings in our group and as always it's been so much fun hanging out with our crew and recording all of the sweet moments on camera. Photographing a friend or family member's wedding is an absolute treasure and over the years we've done so many friends' weddings including some very big ones. I was Maid of Honor and photographer in both of my sisters' weddings and in this wedding, the one you are about to see... none of which of course I could have ever done without Dan (the man)... As you'll see it was a very fun and very busy weekend, one that I will absolutely never forget! Thank you James and Lindsey for a beautiful weekend, we love you guys so much.
Before we get to the pictures, I have to say just a bit about James and Lindsey's crazy story. It's nothing short of something you'd see in the movies or read in a book. Lindsey & James met at the NCAA BCS National Championship Football game between Alabama & Texas in Los Angeles this past January. Lindsey was there with her family cheering for Alabama and James was the guy cheering for Texas sitting right beside her. Lindsey's mom says James couldn't take his eyes off Lindsey the whole game, he was just so drawn to her... And you'll see why in a second. On top of being gorgeous and having the most amazing eyes you've ever seen, she's a spectacular person, a great friend, and one of the most generous people I've ever met. Even though James lived in Dallas and Lindsey lived in Charleston they had a fairytale courtship and knew almost immediately that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. And the rest is history :)

Lindsey's invites were great!
I loooooved the bouquets, especially Lindsey's which you'll see in a minute. This is a bridesmaid bouquet -- so wild and fresh! Love it!
The Old Edwards Inn was just amazing, totally accommodating and gorgeous!! -- Highlands, NC, might be the cutest place ever and oh how we love a good, laid back North Carolina mountain wedding.
Lindsey's last name is Mason so they used Mason jars as decorations and for a signature drink.
The clothesline and intermittent flowers on the right was for a photo booth with an Instax camera at the reception -- even though the Instax is not Dan's favorite camera, us girls had a blast with it!
My FAVORITE detail and possibly the most gorgeous bride bouquet I've ever seen.
And I told you about those eyes!

If you've seen me in the last few months, you might have already suspected:
WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!!
We are so, so excited!!! YAY!!! AND, it's a BOY!!! One of the reasons we are so stoked to have a boy is that my two sisters, Rachael and Claire (who both live in Knoxville), have/are having boys too! Rachael's baby, aka Baby Jack, is just three months old and has made me fall in love with him, and with boys! I'm completely obsessed with that little man. Claire, my youngest sister, is pregnant also with a boy, and due just a few weeks ahead of me!! SO EXCITING!!! The timing is perfect and he will be here before our wedding season starts. So this winter will be spent getting ready for the newest little Watson to enter our lives!
So finally here is the sweetest picture we've ever seen!! Our sweet, sweet little baby!! I think he's even smiling for us!! Every time I see this ultrasound picture I get tears in my eyes because it's just so amazing and the most special thing!! (I could literally start bawling right now just thinking about it! LOL. Ok, maybe it's just the hormones... :)
So, now that the cat's officially out of the bag, that's really all of the excitement we have for today.... We've got some great stuff coming up, so we'll see ya soon!
PS: One last thing. This is just what I want, a little Dan :) Wasn't he such a cutie!?!?
