You should probably get ready to meet a really cute couple...

...I mean like...

...really, really, really...

...cute.
Meet Ashley & Nate --- they are getting married next year and we are soo thrilled to be shooting their wedding!

This is pretty much where Nate proposed to Ashley :)

I also like this one, which is similar to one above --- maybe better than the last.. it's a little softer.

Dan's Favorite

We like these too

My fav :). The end!

Keep checking back because we will be posting A LOT of shoots over the next few weeks -- everything from October will be short and sweet so that we can try to get everyone in!!

We loved this wedding!! It belongs to Jessica and Laurence who had a beautiful wedding & reception at The Mill at Fine Creek in Powhatan, Virginia (near Richmond). Although they had to change the location of their ceremony due to rain, I really couldn't think of anything more perfect ---- it was a cozy, fall, candlelit ceremony surrounded by all of their friends and family... And I really can't say enough about Jess and Laurence - they were both so nice and accommodating --- we 're so fortunate to have been a part of their lovely day!!
Some of our favorites!! For some reason Dan and I love the hair on the right:
My prediction for this couple if they decide to have kids: BEAUTIFUL THICK BROWN HAIR!! --- the eye color will be a toss up as you'll see what we mean in a sec....

Three things right off the bat that I loved about this wedding 1- the guys' grey tuxes, 2 - the flowers and, 3 - she had this whole fall, bird theme going on....loved it!!

Love this!

As I was saying, the eyes could be really brown like Laurence or Jess's pretty aqua color - hmm... And, notice the picture of her grandmother attached to her bouquet - so sweet.

Jess wore these cowboy boots under her dress!

Oops, going a little out of order here...

Isn't Jess stunning?! Love this one of Laurence getting ready too :)

Beautiful (and very sweet) bridesmiads!!

Even though the ceremony was moved from outdoors to indoors, it was very intimate and cozy -- it was almost just candle-lit -- very dark but it suited the weather...

I love the one on the right :)

Jessica and Laurence escaped the crowd right after the ceremony for a few intimate portraits on the porch of this little cabin. It was really pouring at this point but it made it fun!! Especially for me an Dan, we love a good photo challenge!

Mmmm, so sweet ---

I love how he has his hand on her shoulder in the photo on the right. Hair piece on left came from Etsy --- she got a ton of stuff from there, including this super cute bird house she gave us -- I'd snap a photo but it's pouring rain right now :(.

Jess reads our blog regularly so after they did this she said, "Did you think we were going to be cake smashers," -- cute, right!? I said yes but really I wasn't 100% sure --- I would have bet $ on it though...

Bottom right: Guests wrote messages on different squares of fabric (all bird themed) that she is going to make into a quit --- yes, she's very crafty!

The End!! Jess and Laurence --- thanks so much for having us, you guys were great!!!! xoxo
