Wow! What an incredible month this has been ---- wonderful couples, beautiful weddings, crazy weather, and fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants wedding day events! We've got tons of wedding and engagement photos to blog in the next few weeks so let's get started on a wedding that encompasses all of the things I just mentioned, the wedding of Brittany Baker and Ben Cudzilo!

Brittany and Ben's ceremony and reception were to take place at the beautiful Historic Bleak House in Knoxville at 7pm (Friday, May 15)..... You are about to hear one heck of a story, and it's a great story, one that ends with two people very much in love, united in marriage in front of all of their friends and family - and nothing can beat that! :)

So here we go!

We started the day at the Bakers' house getting ready with the girls.

The girls arrived at the The Bleak House, munched on Twizzlers and admired Brittany's GORGEOUS dress :).

These next two I L-O-V-E!
ben_brittany_w_0142.tiffweb.jpg
I'm crazy about this picture! Brittany's mom was awesome. She was really there for her the whole day and I love that she is in so many important shots. If I was Brittany's future child(ren) (God-willing) I would love to see my mother and grandmother like this.

This amazing bouquet was done by Lisa Foster Designs.

And how cute are they??

Loved the details!
ben_brittany_w 1804.tiffweb.jpg
(pause) And this is where it started to get kinda crazy... It started raining :( and then thunder and lightning. The ceremony was to start at 7:00 and RSVP was 390! So, we tried to wait it out...
ben_brittany_w_0721.tiffweb.jpg
...and the GIRLS prayed,
ben_brittany_w_0612.tiffweb.jpg
peeked at guests downstairs,
ben_brittany_w_0683cweb.jpg
and tried to find other ways to pass the time - lol!
ben_brittany_w_0815bweb.jpg
But the BOYS had other plans. They were busy making phone calls --- to see if there was a church that would let them use their sanctuary.
ben_brittany_w 2540b.tiffweb.jpg
Thankfully, yes, there was! Calvery Baptist Church, located right next door to the Bleak House, was so, so nice and let and Brittany and Ben use their sanctuary! (It was especially nice of them because they had just finished a rehearsal and were set up for a wedding the next day.) So, the umbrellas started moving next door!
ben_brittany_w_0914bweb.jpg
Including Brittany and Mr. Baker... It was crazy when we got there because Brittany was like, "Ok, which way do we go? Where is the sanctuary?"
ben_brittany_w_0960.tiffweb.jpg
And this was the best part of the whole day--------
Don't look yet, just let me explain. Brittany was worried the whole day about the weather and the ceremony started about an hour late and all she really wanted was to get married. And so when she saw Ben, she BURST into tears, like she was so happy to see him. It WAS hands-down the sweetest moment I've ever seen at a ceremony. Emotional too, tears were totally running down my face... and I'm sure everyone else there :)
ben_brittany_w_1030.tiffweb.jpg
An equally happy groom
ben_brittany_w_1033.tiffweb.jpg
Yay! Married! The rain stopped by the time the ceremony was over and the rest of the night was really great!

The scene:
ben_brittany_w_3566.tiffweb.jpg
Dan and I are going to start taking dibbs on who plays naughty or nice with the cake cutting. I mean, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. You can have the sweetest couple, like Brittany and Ben, suddenly have an all out war with the cake. OR, you can have the wildest couple give each other the most delicate, sweet bites. I'm betting Tyler and Slate will be cake slammers this weekend ---- we'll see. Oooh, this could be a fun game!... especially if there are prizes involved ;)
ben_brittany_w_1701bweb.jpg
Might be my fave of the day
ben_brittany_w_3808.tiffweb.jpg
Throwing the bouquet = a fight to get it. Throwing the garter = everyone steps back and sees whose feet it lands in front of - hahaha.
ben_brittany_w_3828.tiffweb.jpg
One day my hair is going to catch on fire :)
ben_brittany_w_3923.tiffweb.jpg
And finally, Ben had to pop a few balloons before Brittany could get in the car :).
The end! Congrats Brittany and Ben! We love you guys and can't wait to see what you two do next!

I cannot say enough about this couple or this wedding -----amazing doesn't even begin to describe them or it. It has been so, so hard to pick out just a few pictures to post... I think I could post pics from this wedding every week for an entire year and never run out of material. This beautiful wedding took place at the William Aiken House in Charleston, SC. The whole event was flawlessly coordinated and designed by Hannah Alexander of WED in Charleston.

The William Aiken House is yellow stucco and we used it for a backdrop in a lot of the photos... It was really cheery and summery and, well, take a look,we had a lot of fun on the 'wall'...
erin_chris_w_6394web.jpg
All of the BM's wore different snake skinned high heels - so fun (and they all had perfectly manicured toes too!) Also notice that all of the groomsmen had different boutonnieres - I have close up pics of them all but there's never enough room on the blog :(
yellow pages-2.jpg
Love a long veil on a windy day :) It's crazy how only a little bit of wind can move a veil, and it always makes me smile.
erin_chris_w_1005web.jpg
Love these little candid moments.. On the left, that's Erin's mother and she is talking to Chris on the right :)
erin_chris_w_4371cweb.jpg
And a bit of drama...
erin_chris_w_4257web.jpg

erin_chris_w_0902web.jpg
Erin was such a beautiful bride and it was so hard picking pictures. She looks amazing in every shot and needed zero skin retouching -----Erin, tell us your secrets!
erin_chris_w_4409web.jpg
The girls and Erin's "bridesman" (aka cousin Cody) posed for this picture in the Red Room, the space where Erin and the girls got dressed - wow, what a room!
erin_chris_w_1360web.jpg
Amazing table details by WED...
erin_chris_w_0658dweb.jpg
...and handsome men.
erin_chris_w_5584web.jpg
Ahhh, the bride and groom... (This was after the ceremony, a little out of order here)
erin_chris_w_6599.tiffweb.jpg
This was Erin's bouquet and yall are going to think this is adorable! For years she said she's carried around this pic of Chris in her wallet.  So, she had it affixed to her bouquet - isn't that just precious!?
erin_chris_w_4052.tiffweb.jpg
LOVED her cake. Each layer was something different. One layer was red velvet, one was chocolate and the other was____? Can't remember, probably white.
erin_chris_w_5168dweb.jpg
The ceremony was very nice and very bright on the girl's side. I think it was pretty hard for the girls to keep looking in that direction but Erin certainly had no trouble :)

Ceremony location at night
erin_chris_w_3449web.jpg
Love this one! Possibly my favorite of them together - just down the street, love the floating veil.
erin_chris_w_6650web.jpg
This was funny. Erin's stepdad brought this funny 'bride pulling the groom' trinket.  He was just about to put it on top of their lovely cake when Erin caught him in the act and said "No Way!" He snuck it back on the center of the table after they cut the pieces - ha, ha.
erin_chris_w_3392.tiffweb.jpg
A little night action
erin_chris_w_7015.tiffweb.jpg
This was during their first dance - I think it was Green Eyes by Cold Play. Also I just wanted to mention this because it was really cute and I don't have room for a picture here: Erin and Chris had a basket on the dance floor filled with flip-flops in different sizes for the girls to use for dancing. You know, just in case their heels were killing them - isn't that sweet?
erin_chris_w_6718web.jpg
They had these great lounging tables set up outside the bar.
erin_chris_w_7002.tiffweb.jpg
erin_chris_w_7231web.jpg
This old theater is right next door to the William Aiken House ---- cute right? The End!!
If you want more, you'll have to follow me on twitter so you know when I post the link to her slideshow!

Last Thursday on our way out of town to Erin & Chris's wedding (hold your horses it's coming soon!), we did an engagement shoot for the lovely Robin Butler and her fiance, Paul, who we just met and also L-O-V-E!!

We are very excited about their wedding this November and here's why: Not only are Robin and Paul fun, hilarious, great to be around and a perfect match for each other, they live and are getting married in L.A.! That's right, we are going on a trip to California and we've never been (except for skiing but that really doesn't count)! Their wedding is going to be awesome and we really couldn't be more excited about it. It's going to be on the rooftop of the Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel. Check it out, we're so stoked!

Robin is from Knoxvegas and she and Paul were here last week for an engagement party, so we got to hang out and do their engagement photos....

Robin said she really liked color so I'm going all out!

Robin loved the red brick in Brittany and Ben's engagement shoot so we used the other side of the building, which had great light that day...
