Welcome6.jpg

As promised in previous posts, I am going to continue blogging some of the amazing couples we got to work with this past fall.  We were so busy the past few months, we had to put off posting a lot of the work until now. So, hopefully this warm up your winter day. The fall is one of the best times to shoot and we did a lot of memorable shoots and this is definitely one of them!!

Meet Meagan and Seth. We met Meaghan and Seth... well, on this engagement shoot :)  They are from Kentucky and are getting married this June. They booked us over the phone which is pretty typical of couples who live further away. We work with out of town couples all the time and it is always fun to meet them if we haven't already and we always love going new places for weddings.  For this engagement shoot, we actually stayed close to home and shot at one of our absolute favorite locations that many of you may know if you follow our blog... my mom's farm.  The fall is probably my favorite time out there, the tall grass and warm colors are just beautiful for engagement shoots!!

Enjoy!

This picture has been cracking me up! Meet, Colin their adorable puppy! He's like "Hey! What's going on up there!"

Seth was always so sweet to Meaghan while we were shooting. I just love that! And I'm sorry, but that dog could not be any cuter!

Oh how all of these precious little people make us soooo excited to meet our little baby! We're counting down the weeks until our little one arrives!! And, since we've got babies on our minds 24/7 these days, I had to put together this little post. As most of you know, in addition to weddings, Dan and I do a number of family sessions throughout the year. Here are some cuties from this fall that we especially adore!! (p.s. we get sooo many inquiries for family photo shoots in the fall, we can never accommodate everyone, so if you're interested in that for this year, start planning and get in touch with us early - the earlier the better!).

Enjoy the photos & happy Wednesday!!

Our nephew Tucker (Dan's brother's son) --- what a ham! He's so smiley and so cute & chunky! We had the best time visiting him in California this Thanksgiving!

Sweet Mary Caroline, my BF Krista's daughter who you can see as a baby if you scroll down in this post; our nephew Tucker; our niece Merri Ryan, who is the happiest baby on the block and who I think always has a twinkle in her eye like she knows a good secret :); our friend Kellye and Brian's one year old -- sweet, super cool, super chill Charlotte; some of our best friends, the Potters and their almost 2 year old Finn (love that name!!); and then Mary Caroline again - love that lil girl!

Remember my sister Rachael's baby Jack??  He is 6 months old now! This was his Christmas card picture. His aunt Nat got him that owl hat from: here.

Little one year old Charlotte, definitely the happiest, most chill little girl we know!! She was a newborn here and she's also the niece of this couple! The photo below was part of their Christmas card. Sooo cute!

And last but not least, our very dear friends, the Potters with their adorable son Finn. This was their Christmas shoot -- so much fun!!

The End!!

As Seen on Style Me Pretty: The Ultimate Wedding Blog

Ok y'all, I know it's been 12 days since our last post and I can already guess what you're thinking..."Hurry up and post something, we're getting bored!" Ok, you're right, but I'm pretty sure you will be happy with this little gem of a wedding. It's filled with pretty details, an adorable couple, tons candid moments and little tid-bits of descriptions to go along with it. We've been saving this wedding for a good old rainy day like today (ok, now it's turned to snow), so welcome to the wedding of Molly & Caleb!

Usually the more we know a couple and their wedding, the more we feel tied to it. Molly was one of the last weddings we booked for 2010.  Before we met them, Dan and I were debating if we were going to take anymore weddings for 2010 because we were pretty full and we knew the fall was going to be crazy --- but then we met them and gosh I'm so glad we did! Caleb had already moved to Houston, Texas so we didn't meet him until the day of the wedding but Molly was staying with her parents who live right down the street in our neighborhood. Dan and I shot Molly's bridal session and then she pet sat for us a couple of weekends and just in doing that, we figured out pretty quickly that Molly was one special girl :)

But if we hadn't known Molly at all going into her wedding, I feel sure we would have realized about 10 mins into it how special it was going to be... and probably would have also known that it was going to be one of our favorite weddings of the year.  Besides it being a perfect late October day (remember the colors, and the perfect crisp 65 degree weather) there were so many touches that made this wedding really sweet and really special. Molly was just such a delight and smiling ear to ear all day... and gosh we just love brides who just smile and giggle all day long!

Molly is the youngest of three sisters and a very sentimental person. She decided to have a morning wedding at 11:00 am to follow in the tradition of her parents and grandparents. Also like her parents, grandparents, sister, aunt and cousins, Molly knew she wanted to get married in her home church, Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian. And, the more she thought about it, the more she just loved the idea of an afternoon reception, where everyone could enjoy the fall afternoon and old and young could participate in all of the festivities.

*Love* this pic of Molly and her sisters. Molly's sister Casey was full term at the wedding and now mother to a beautiful baby girl! All of the girls in Mollys family since her great-great-grandmother have worn the broach Molly has on her bracelet at their weddings...just a little side note:)

Here's a close-up of the bouquet, it was really special! And look at that groom -- isn't he a cutie!?!

Molly had the groomsmen wear 'Morning Suits' just as Molly's parents wore in their wedding. She just loved how old-fashioned they looked. Molly said that when she was a little girl she used to love looking at her parent's wedding album and memorized certain pictures that she always associated with weddings. Molly brought her parent's wedding album over to our house and showed it to me before her wedding so that we could copy certain poses in the church to match  --  love that.  In general I love when people let me in on all the details and and backstory, so we know what to look for before we get to a wedding.

Gosh she just makes me :)

Caleb is really into cycling and so they decided to leave the reception on a tandem bicycle -- how cute!?! The bike also served as a fun little prop for pictures and motif that they used on their save the dates and candy bags.

This might be my favorite random picture of the whole wedding. :)
